The Beach Birds

$29.95

By Bridget Farmer

Illustrated by Bridget Farmer

Next in the series of Bridget Farmer’s Australian bird books is The Beach Birds!

The Beach Birds consists of twelve riddles for readers to guess which Australian native bird, commonly found on beaches, estuaries and coastal areas, is being depicted. Lift the hidden flap on each double page to find out the answer. I hope that by interacting with the riddles and illustrations readers will soon familiarise themselves with these beautiful birds and find enjoyment in seeking them out while at the beach.

The illustrations are all created from dry point etchings which have been hand coloured with watercolour paints.

Birds included in this book - Silver Gull, Crested Tern, Hooded Plover, Eastern Curlew, Pied Cormorant, Pied Oystercatcher, Masked Lapwing, Red-necked Stint, Pacific Gull, White-bellied Sea Eagle, Bar-tailed Godwit and Beach Stone-curlew.

There is also a card game available of The Beach Birds.
